Watch out Chattanooga...Yerbey Concrete is part of yet another city changing project!
Southside's new Main Terrain Art Park construction has begun on the not-so-pretty tract of land connecting Main Street to 13th Street at the entrance of the Chattanoogan. This forgotten piece of land has spent years becoming overgrown after it's heyday in the early part of the 20th century as part of Chattanooga's train system.
This new park will be unlike any other in Chattanooga (which is such a Chattanooga thing to do) in that it will not only be a gorgeous place to come and hang out, but it will incorporate 5 fitness stations being coordinated by Get Built Chattanooga and 9 total art pieces by Thomas Sayre of North Carolina. Public Art of Chattanooga has brought Mr. Sayre in with his innovative interactive art pieces, which when moved will resemble our beloved Market Street bridge...thus spanning the gap between the Riverfront and our ever-growing Southside.
Thanks to the City of Chattanooga for giving us the opportunity to work on this groundbreaking project!
