The art has arrived!

Even though Yerbey has had many 'exciting' moments working on the Main Terrain Art park in Chattanooga's Southside, the most exciting part for the public is the arrival and installation of the 9 concrete and metal art pieces. Today, Thomas Sayre, the artist selected by the City of Chattanooga to produce the art for the Art Park has started unloading and setting the first 6 of his 9 precast concrete structures that the 'Market Street Bridge' metal pieces will sit atop. For the first time since the park construction has started, it's beginning to look like an actual ART PARK! The excitement is contagious as members of local news, Public Art Chattanooga, Allied Arts, Get Built and Playcore came out to see the progress.

You can read more about the park and the artist in the articles below:

Young Life

Yerbey Concrete is a big supporter of Young Life in Chattanooga.  Mark Settles is on the board and helps out quite a bit with the organization through volunteer work.  Gary and Darlene Yerbey, Mark and Becky Settles, and Jimmy and Luann Eller atteneded the 2012 banquet at Track 29 on Monday night where the theme was Broadway.  The banquet was, as usual, enjoyable with good company and entertainment from many of the Young Life area leaders.  The banquet is a big fundraiser for Young Life and we like to show our support through that along with the yearly golf tounament and shooting event.  This year we also invited one of our suppliers whose children have enjoyed being a part of Young Life club and camps.  We are always happy to share our love of wonderful Christian organizations, such as Young Life with others.  Look for us at next years banquet or the spring golf tournament!
